One of the last tropical paradise in the Caribbean, located in the Turks and Caicos, Islands. Known for it's salt ponds and tropical birds, lies approximately 570 miles S.E. of Miami, FL. Grand Turk is the capital of this chain of tropical Islands with breath taking views.
Hot in the summer and just right during the winter months. It is a wonderful vacation spot if you enjoy the comforts of peace and quietness. There are no stop lights and very few STOP signs. Use caution while driving, where it seems nobody ever obey the speed limit.
The Island is approximately 7 miles long and 3 miles wide. One can literally drive the island within 5 minutes or walk it in 45 minutes to and hour. My favorite spot on the island is overlooking the ocean atop Breezy Brae. It's a million dollar view overlooking the ocean or priceless as my wife would say. The place is quiet, people are friendly and the atmosphere is refreshing with a different and unique charm to it, which you cannot find elsewhere.
